At OriLife Acupuncture and Herb, our goal is to facilitate healing in a nurturing, professional, and supportive atmosphere. The services offered are Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Gwa Sha, Cuping, Acupressure, Chinese herbs, and nutritional counseling.

Insurance acceptance: Highmark BlueShield, Federal Employee Program(FEP).  Workman's Compensation (Pennsylvania only). Some insurance carriers covers out-of-network acpuncuture services. Please call your insurance company to confirm.  A insurance claim form will be provided to you after each treatment.  You may send these forms to your insurance company for reimbustment.

 


Discount Packages*:

Weight-LossComprehensive program includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional consulting, life-style modification, and Qi-Gong exercises.  Fees: Plan A: $800 for 10 sessions plus two-months of herbal supplies. Plan B: $80 per session without herbal remedy.

Smoking Cessation: Comprehensive program includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, and stress monitoring. Fees: Plan A: $700 for 10 sessions plus two-months of herbal supplies; Plan B: $70 per session without herbal remedy.

 

Detox Support: Supports detoxification of alcohol or drug. Fees: $30 per session or $280 for 10 sessions.

Acupuncture:

Acupuncture Treatment: Great results may be obtained after acupuncture treatments for the following conditions:  neurological diseases, musculoskeletal diseases, psycho-emotional related disorders.  People often seek acupuncture services when they have joint or muscle pain, headache, back pain, shoulder tension, sciatica, TMJ, post-stroke, menstrual cramps, anxiety, depression, or sleeping disorders.

Fees: $90 for initial visit;  $70 per follow-up visit.  Each treatment includes one or more of the following procedures:  Acupuncture, electro-stimulation, moxibustion, gwa-sha, cupping, acupressure, or Chinese massage.

Chinese Herbs:

        Herbal remedy is recommended  for most degenerative diseases, elderly people, and complex conditions. Conditions that often benefit from Chinese herbal remedy are digestion problems, post surgical/chemo conditions, chronic fatigue, skin disorders, menopausal syndromes, reproductive system problems, intestine/urinary problems.  It is also use to reinforce the acupuncture treatment or stabilize the acupuncture effect at the recovery stage and to support overall continuing internal healing.

        Fees: Herbal Granules:$15~$20 per week if combine with acupuncture treatment.  $5 per day for herbal remedy only.

Moxibustion:

        Moxibustion is an herb called mugwort. It may be burned on the handle of the needle, above the skin, on salt or a slice of ginger. This is used to “warm” acupuncture points or areas in order to quicken the healing process. It is especially helpful to cold type arthristis and osteoarthritis. A TDP lamp may be used as a substitute when someone dislike the smoke or smell of moxibustion.  Fees: included in acupuncture treatment.

Gwa Sha and Cupping:

Gwa Sha - A gentle scraping of the skin surface using a round-edged tool to increase circulation of Chi and blood. It release muscle tension, tightness and constriction. 

Cupping - Using glass or bamboo cups to create a vacuum in order to increase warmth and circulation.

Fee: Initial evaluation and procedure is $50; Follow-up procedure is $35 each visit.
